Sushi Rakkyo in Colorado Springs

This restaurant is not following required social distancing. You are made to stand in a 10 foot square, makeshift corral to wait for you order standing shoulder to shoulder with several other people. The employees take each person’s phone to see what they ordered because they somehow don’t have a system to see who has ordered online. Complete disregard for spreading germs. It is also a 1-2 hour wait to receive your food.

Ordered online and it doesn’t seem like that rolls we ordered match up exactly to the maki rolls we received. The general gist of the rolls were there but when ordering a special roll it’s usually all the little things in it that make it special and I don’t think we got that as some were missing ingredients. Otherwise the sushi was generally okay with good rice but the spicy tuna at the center of all the rolls was pretty bland. We ordered the spicy tuna (to baseline the place), and then the special roll Marilyn Mon Roll and Pikes Peak Roll. I included a copy of our order.

Absolutely amazing sushi. High quality, fresh ingredients prepared to order. The Mochi is perfect as well.

Sushi Rakkyo was so accommodating on my gluten free needs. They were kind and even labeled the gluten free soy sauce ”gf”.

Not happy how they are handling this COVID "screening" process. Placed our info in the list and was told we'll receive a call when our table is ready and since the weather is hot and they take your temp. WE WERE INSTRUCTED TO WAIT IN THE CAR! And hour later we still haven't receive a call and so i check and they said they called us 3 times and never picked up. Ironically, other people on the list also didn't get a call and was told to wait again because they had to give away our table. If you are willing to waste time go ahead and stay in your car. VERY DISAPPOINTING

excellent food. good service. moderately pricey. $50 for lunch for 2 for my wife and myself with no alcholic drinks. limited choice on desert but they are luscious!

This is my favorite place for sushi. They have the all you can eat option. The chef is very kind and he makes the costumers feel very comfortable.

This sushi place is phenomenal! For under $20 a person, you can do all you can eat sushi! Octopus, yellowtail, shrimp, crab, etc! The rules are well sized and again it's all you can eat! The staff is extremely friendly and the facility is neat and clean! The sushi bar is a great place to hang out too!

OMG! We've found our new go-to sushi place 🍣😁. Freaking so good! All you can eat for $16.95 (lunch). Great service (Nate was fantastic!) along with other servers. Must try Mini-Air-Force tower and Yummy Crunch. Godzilla roll was fantastic.

Absolutely love this place. All you can get eat for less then $20 a person. All their sushi is made fresh on the spot as you order them. Make sure to come hungry and eat eat eat. Whatever you don't eat you will get charged a dollar for each sushi piece, so leave super full and drink water or soda later. The service here is always welcoming & super friendly. The place is clean and has lots of seating for small or big parties. You don't have to have reservations. They are opened from certain times of the day for just lunch and dinner.

Obviously a very popular place, there was a wait the entire time we were there. Sushi is all-you-can-eat, and they achieve that by using imitation crab in EVERYTHING. Good service, fun saki bomb experience.

One of the better sushi places in town. Great sushi and their cooked food is just as great. I would just suggest avoiding the crazy busy hours. It's easy for the staff to get overwhelmed and possibly forget to check on you, deliver food, and get drinks.

Best service and great price for value!! Heard a customer behind us complaining about eating the rice- this is a SUSHI restaurant and sushi has RICE on it! Please be respectful and finish your food and be weary to not have bigger eyes than your stomach. This is the most respectful staff ever and its so disheartening to see people yelling because they feel entitled to not eat rice!

Great sush! It has a very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Service is great. Wait times are very short, usually never busy. The sushi rolls we had were great (Orgasm Roll, Colorado Roll, Hot Night Roll).

Love love love! All you can eat at an affordable price and the food is delicious! Service can be hit or miss but I find it worth it.

King soopers is nearby, I recommend stopping there as sushi will be better and cheaper. Nigiri was straight out of an all you can eat buffet and the rolls were cut into 1/8inch size to 1/2 size. Most rolls fell apart. I’ve made sushi 4-5 times and I’m confident I could do a better job. Would not recommend

The best all you can eat sushi. Love this place. We try to make the drive at least once a month. It's about an hr. drive but well worth it.

We came here for the first time and it was sooo good! The staff was very nice the price were good, and the roll were soooo yummy! We did not leave all you could eat sushi disappointed. We will definitely be back.

Tonight's sushi was delicious! We've never been disappointed in our service or quality of food. The crispy mushroom, is our favorite appetizer. We look forward to our next visit.

We had a wonderful meal. This was our first there, even though we have been in the neighborhood for years. It was a bit quiet when we got there, but shortly after it picked up to a full house. The sushi was huge and fabulous tasting. The Miso soup was the best I have ever had. Seriously once I tasted the soup I knew we were in for a great meal. Thank you! We will definitely be back!

We love Sushi Rakkyo, the food is always delicious. We did a takeout order and everything was plated nicely in the containers and we even got a lovely flower. All sauces that were mentioned with our rolls were included :) portions are good - nigiri comes with 2, our other rolls came with 8 and 12.

$25. All you can eat sushi. Amazing. Super great food and service, I could barely move after I left this place I ate so much. 30/36 I highly recommend.

My wife and I were taken our son to a docter's appt and wanted to find some place to eat on the way so we decided to stop here for lunch. By far one of the best decisions we've made! The sushi here is fantastic and the service staff here is very attentive and helpful. We were already discussing coming back for dinner in the next few days and we live in Highlands Ranch! Would highly recommend to anyone in the Colorado Springs area. Great experience!

The food was pretty good but not amazing— a little expensive for the quality. Restaurant was severely understaffed when I visited. IMO—I think this place has a lot of potential

Dined here with my three children.The kids meals are great! Im not used to seeing a decent kids meal at these types of restaurants. The service was excellent. We had two waitstaff checking in on us throughout our meal. They were fairly busy but we were never left waiting. All the food was delicious. Everything was fresh. Wait time for food was short. This is going to be our go-to for Japanese cuisine now!

Speedy and tasty food, and very courteous staff. I wish I could remember the name of one specific guy who always impresses me when I'm there! Best waiter around.The all-you-can-eat is a pretty standard price, but the rolls and variety available in that menu are great. I'd definitely recommend the citrus roll! Always looking forward to my next visit. =)

Great food. Quick service, once we got served lol. They weren't really upfront with us about all of the food/&payment options. They made it seem like the "all you can eat" price was our only option, and that's the only menu they gave us. We had to specifically ask if we could just get a few items and pay for them individually before they gave us that menu as well.

They are amazing and very careful during this pandemic. Their sushi was amazing and their lunch special is well worth the price!

Excellent service and DELICIOUS sushi! I've been to hundreds of different sushi places including in the fish market in Tokyo and this place is definitely in my top 5 of all time. Try the Crunchy Spicy Tuna Roll with crispy fried rice. It's unique and you won't regret one bite!

Absolutely the best sushi place I have EVER been to in the springs! I have never had better service in my life!! We did the unlimited sushi for about $26 a person and it was so worth it! This place is my favorite to eat at and I will be back a lot more because lets be real.. Colorado Springs does not have a lot of good quality places to eat at, paired with FANTASTIC service. Came here 2 times, thefthe time I ordered using their website and the owner came out after 30 minutes of waiting, and had realized he never even checked his phone for our order. The second time I ordered tempura Udon on the phone, (trying to avoid their website from the previous experience) they hadn't written down the order this time, after waiting and getting my food I went home, only to open my box to see the noodles had a bag in it, and my tempura was missing. I went back to alert them of the issue, thankfully this time they remade the food without hesitation and even offered me something to drink several times.Food was just ok 2/5Experience was 1/5

This is probably one of the better all you can eat sushi spots in Colorado springs. The fish quality is pretty good in the nigiri and the sushi rolls have a lot of different fun flavors. Their sushi rice recipe probably needs an upgrade, but besides that if you can eat 25$/person of sushi, this place is worth it.

Loved the yakisoba! All-you-can-eat is the way to go here. Awesome price with a huge selection! Also extremely polite and courteous staff. I'll definitely come back!

Good prices for decent sushi! Not the best sushi I've had but definatly a solid "Go-to". Good customer service, timely, and well assembled food. They're carry-out plates are good to, they all come with wassabe, ginger, soy suace, and this really good citrus dipping suace I've never had before. They also garnish your carry-out with a little flower which is nice to. The menu also offers a decent variety of sushi combos and types which will give you many options for repeat orders.

The food is good but they would not my accept coupon from their website and they added an extra layer of rice on the all you can eat rolls to fill you up faster.
